[s0] Stream schedule update
As some of you already know, streaming on Twitch (as Ditherian, with some silliness and more temporal announcements on the Fediverse) has become something of an anchor activity for me, and I've been getting back into managing a timeslot or two on a more consistent basis as part of trying to wrench myself back into life patterns after this year's mega-breakdown.
So here's what I'm currently intending on, all subject to capacity fluctuations and life and such. All times are based on Central Time in the United States (currently UTC−6, zoneinfo name “America/Chicago”).
- Mondays at 18:30: The Ur-Quan Masters. This is the source port of what was originally Star Control II in the DOS era. High-continuity exploration and alliance-building with events proceeding in the galaxy as you run around trying to find a way to shatter the dominance of the Ur-Quan oppressors. I streamed the intro of this on a whim yesterday, and I think I might want to continue through it.
- Fridays at 15:00: FTL: Faster Than Light. A notable indie breakout title of the 2010s. Low-continuity randrun game, heavy focus on ship management and combat as you try to survive eight sectors of the galaxy and build up your ship to fight the Rebel flagship. This was probably the first main game I streamed long ago; it was my anchor stream for several months previously, and now it's back. I have four remaining ships to beat the flagship with, after which I don't know what I'll switch to.
You know, it's only just as I wrote that that I realized how similar those two games are in some thematic aspects, even as they're very different in some other ways…
